Description
In January 2003, the Chinese Government provided an RMB 20 million grant to the Republic of Congo for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Headquarters Construction Project. This project involved the construction of a headquarters building for the Republic of Congo’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the capital city of Brazzaville. The six-story building includes a reception hall, conference rooms, offices, and an auditorium. It is a comprehensive office building that is used to receive government officials from Africa and other regions for meetings and visits. The building was co-financed with the Republic of Congo, and its total cost was $19 million. Beijing Uni-Construction Company (BUCC) was the contractor responsible for project implementation. Construction of the project began in 2003 and it was completed on March 27, 2008. The construction of a fountain outside the building was completed in September 2011.
