On March 19, 2017, Chinese Ambassador to Sudan Li Lianhe told the Sudan News Agency that he had signed several agreements on behalf of China for interest-free loans to Sudan for the implementation of projects in animal production and other technical and civil defense fields. The pledge was made during the meeting that the first undersecretary at the Ministry of Foreign Relations, ambassador Abdul Ghani Al Naeem, received the China ambassador to the Sudan, Li Lianhe.
