Description
On 19 October 2011, it was announced that China National Complete Engineering Corporation (CMCEC) won the bid for a $350 million contract for the Essiama Enclave Water Supply Project in Ghana. It was reported that China Eximbank will provide a loan to fund the project. The loan proceeds will finance the construction of a water plant with a planned capacity of 50,000 M3/d in Essiama. The project also includes construction of intake works, water treatment plant, pumping station, clear water transmission pipeline, water distribution, a comprehensive office building, and a control center. The project is expected to be completed 39 months after the start of construction.
