Project narrative

In April 2005, the Government of Sudan and the Chinese Government signed a $13.3 million USD loan agreement for Sudan's purchase of engineering equipment from CAMC Engineering Co. Ltd., a Chinese state-owned enterprise. The loan carried the following terms: an interest rate of 4%, a grace period of 2 years, and a maturity period of 8 years. As of early 2006, Sudan had not withdrawn funds from this loan. Additional project details are unknown.
