On July 24, 2010, the Chinese embassy donated books to a school in Dowa, Malawi. The donation was granted to the “Promoting Family Self-reliance Agricultural Technical School” (SAFI) during a ceremony for the "2009 Outstanding Achievement Award." The value of the donation is unknown.
