Project narrative

On December 12, 2017, the Chinese government announced a grant of 1 million RMB to Malawi Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation at the celebration of 10 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Deputy Minister Xiadong said China believes the grant will help implement Malawi's projects under the Malawi-China Development Cooperation Framework. The 1 million RMB was targeted at enhancing capacity building in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and helping to carry out protocol activities more easily across the country. It is unknown whether the funds were actually disbursed. Linked to Record ID#71324 (umbrella project).
