Project narrative

On August 24, 2018, the Chinese government donated 20 tablets worth 4.3 million Kwacha to the Malawian government. The 20 Android tablets were provided by Huawei Technologies. They will be used by the National Statistics Office for the 2018 Population and Housing Census. A handover ceremony was held Ministry of Finance headquarters in Lilongwe, and was attended by the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China Liu Hongyang. Minister of Finance, Economic Planning and Development Goodall Gondwe received the donation on behalf of the Malawi Government.
