Description

In March 2016, China sent a group of experts to Botswana to help train Botswana citizens in gymnastics to celebrate the 50th Independence Anniversary of Botswana. The project was termed the Botswana 50th Anniversary Celebration Group Gymnastics Technical Cooperation Project. The first performance exhibition was held on August 28, 2016 at the Botswana National Stadium and a separate anniversary ceremony was held in September 2016. Chinese instructors trained more than 4000 teachers and students. The project was implemented by China Sports International Co., Ltd in cooperation with the Botswana Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Culture.
