Staff comments

1. The Chinese project title is 朱巴教学医院改扩建二期项目. 2. The monetary value of the grant commitment for this project is unknown. This issue warrants further investigation. 3. Phase 1 of the expansion and modernization of Juba Teaching Hospital, which was also funded by the Chinese Government, was completed on November 13, 2019 (as captured via Record ID#53330). 4. Juba Teaching Hospital is the only national referral hospital in the whole country of South Sudan and it is located in Juba City, Central Equatoria State. With an estimated population of 9.86 million based on annual population growth of 3% from a population census conducted in 2008 and lack of proper functioning primary health care facilities upcountry, many South Sudanese have nowhere to go but to this national referral hospital
