Project narrative

On September 25, 2012, China's Ministry of Commerce signed an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA) with Cameroon's Ministry of Public Health to provide 4 million CNY worth of anti-malarial drugs manufactured in China (Projet de fourniture des médicaments antipaludiques). The anti-malarial drugs were delivered on September 25, 2013. Since 2010, China has put effort into treating malaria in Cameroon as well as other African countries.

MOFCOM is the funder but the grant proceed for the drugs were disbursed through a CDB account that was established with a host country bank.
