NDRC provides RMB 20 million grant for provision of energy efficient products

According to Egyptian Presidential Decree no. 445 (2017), on January 16, 2017, the Chinese government signed an amendment to a memorandum of understanding (MoU), previously signed on January 21, 2016, to mark the completion of a grant for CNY 20,000,000 Yuan in energy efficient products to Egypt. The amended MoU was signed between China's National Development and Reform Commission and Egypt's Ministry of Environment. The products are mostly energy-efficient, including solar-powered street lights, LED lamps for government buildings, energy-saving AC units and solar panels for private household usage, intended to assist Egypt in combating climate change. An inventory of the granted items is as follows: Solar LED Street Lights: 450 units of the 20W variety, 1185 units of the 40W variety, 150 units of the 50W variety, 50 units of the 60W variety. Solar Household Power Generation Systems: 1000 units of the 60W variety. LED Lamps: 10,000 units of 7W LED Bulbs, 15,0000 units of 9W T8 tubes, 15,000 units of 18W T8 tubes. Energy Saving Air Conditioners: 106 units of the 1P variety, 200 unites of the 1.5P variety, 300 units of the 2P variety, 300 units of the 3p variety.
