Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On August 10, 2016, the Chinese government donated medical equipment to the Democratic Republic of Congo. The handover ceremony of the donation was held at the Sino-Congolese Friendship Hospital in Kinshasa, and was attended by Ambassador Wang Tongqing and Congolese Minister of Health Kabange Numbi. Record ID#58959, a 2015 grant for the provision of medical equipment, likely captures the transaction value of the medical equipment donated in this project. This project is completed.

Staff comments

A $200,000 donation of yellow fever vaccines was made at the same time as this project, which is recorded in Record ID#52164, but they appear to be two distinct donations.
