Project narrative

On January 19th, 2009, the Chinese Embassy in Egypt donated an agricultural vehicle to the Sino-Egyptian Youth Friendship Forest, located in the outskirts of Sadat City (100km NW of Cairo). The forest was first planted in 1999, and by 2009, contained 250,000 trees. Since the establishment of the forest China has also provided and unspecified amount of infrastructure, vehicles, tree species, and planting technology.
