Description

On May 3, 2019, the Chinese Embassy in South Sudan held a ceremony to send off the sixth medical team and welcome the seventh medical team to South Sudan. On August 10, 2019, this team visited Upper Nile University in Malakal and held a clinic (project #60776). On December 22, 2019, the team donated milk, biscuits and provided medical consultations to minors at Confident Children out of Conflict (CCC), a Juba-based orphanage for vulnerable children lacking parental care (project #71188). The seventh medical team included 13 medical specialists in fields such as obstetrics and gynecology, general surgery, internal medicine and pediatrics, as well as 2 support staff. The seventh medical team's mission lasted 17 months and ended in September 2020. During their mission they provided about 8,000 free medical consultations across South Sudan.
