Description

On February 23, 2018, China provided South Sudan with emergency food aid and humanitarian supplies. The food aid included 2,048 tons rice, but the exact humanitarian aid materials donated are uncertain. The cost of this donation is unknown. This project is part of an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement signed by Chinese and South Sudanese officials on January 11, 2018 (#60702), which also included assistance in the upgrading of broadcast studios (#58958).The donation is also part of 8,800 tons of rice Beijing pledged to South Sudan in 2017 to fight severe food shortage.
