Project narrative

On October 2, 2018, the Chinese Ambassador to South Sudan signed an agreement with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Sudan to provide 100 million RMB worth of humanitarian food aid to South Sudan. As part of the agreement, 9,660 tons of rice would be granted by the Chinese government. On February 21, 2019, China officially handed over the first 1,000 tons of rice to South Sudan. The total value of this donation is unknown.
