Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On April 2, 2015, a ceremony was held for the completion of the "Chinese Corner" in the Malian National Library. The "Chinese Corner" project was established by the Hanban of China in cooperation with the National Library of Mali. The Chinese Corner is a space dedicated to the study of Chinese culture and language. The Chinese government donated 300 books and posters, and $8,000 for the purchase of furniture, for the "Chinese Corner." The total cost of the project is unknown, so the transaction amount has been coded to only include the $8,000 donated to purchase furniture.
