China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) financed the construction of dormitory in Pierre Passy Middle School in Congo (Linked to Record ID#59311)

Project narrative

In 2018, the Chinese company China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) financed the new school building of Pierre Passy Middle School in the Republic of Congo. CSCEC is also the contractor for this project, and the new buildings built had five classrooms, an administrative block, a laboratory, a boarding school, a library, compulsory housing, etc.. It took four months to complete and the construction area totaled more than 500 square meters. The financing amount is unknown. On August 12, 2018, the completion ceremony was held at Pierre Passy Middle School. The ceremony was attended by the Chinese Ambassador and General Manager of China Construction West and West Africa. The company officially handed over the new buildings to the school. During the ceremony, the Chinese Embassy in the Republic of Congo also donated a batch of teaching and living materials to the Ministry of Primary, Secondary and Literacy Education. The donated materials included computers, TV sets and office supplies (captured by Record ID#59311).
