Project narrative

On March 21, 2013, the China Merchants Group held a ceremony for a donation to help support the Djibouti Child Protection Center and the orphanage of DARYEL in Djibouti. The donation is worth $200,000 USD and according to the China Merchants Group, this donation was made through China Merchants Charitable Foundation. China Merchants Group says that this donation was for the reconstruction and expansion of existing premises of the child protection center and the orphanage, as well as for the purchase of relevant equipment. s. Kadra Mahamoud Hald, Chairman of DARYEL‘s orphanage and the First Lady of Djibouti, expressed gratitude to China Merchants Group for this project, and Ambassador Zhang Guoqing and Chairman of China Merchants Group Fu Yuning attended the donation ceremony. This project is completed.
