Project narrative

On 24 and 28 November 2011, the Chinese government agreed to donate 10 water trucks and 30 water storage tanks to Djibouti. This agreement was signed by Chinese Ambassador Zhang Guoqing and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Djibouti Mahmoud Ali Youssef. The cost of the project is unknown. The trucks and tanks were officially handed over to the Djibouti side on 6 May 2012. The purpose of this project was to help those with limited access to water in drought-stricken areas.
