Project narrative

On April 30, 2009, Zhang Yuebang, Charge de’ Affairs of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, on behalf of the Chinese Government, handed over $800,000 to H.E. Ato. Ahmed Shide, State Minister of Finance and Economic Development as food aid to the Ethiopian Government. This grant followed a $30,000 donation from the Chinese Red Cross Society to the Ethiopian Red Cross Society (Record ID#34708) for food aid.
