Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

In September 2017, the Chinese government provided 17,000 tons of wheat in food aid worth 100 million yuan. The aid was given in response to an estimated 7.88 million people in Ethiopia in need of food assistance. The food was distributed to Oromia, Amhara, Farr, Harald, and Southern States in Ethiopia. The UNOCHA Financial Tracking System reported a flow of 15 million USD from China to Ethiopia for bilateral food support, which is probably referring to the same flow (Flow ID: 165586).
