Project narrative

In June 2018, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce funded a crocheting technical training course for 12 Congolese artisans (10 females and 2 males) in China. The training courses were held in Changsha, China from June 6 to August 14, 2018. The main course includes topics such as graphic design line drawing, the performance, use, maintenance, and common fault handling of the drawn hook weaver, color knowledge, various needle methods, product forming, rinsing, ironing process, and stain treatment. Participants will also go to Guangzhou and Shenzhen for investigation and research. The financial value of the training is unknown.
