Full Description

Project narrative

In December 2016, the Chinese and Ethiopian governments signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for constructing a trauma center and nursing unit at Tirunesh-Beijing Hospital. The completion of the additions to the hospital were inaugurated on August 1, 2017, though it is unclear when construction on them began. Altogether, the China Trauma Center, the China Maternal and Child Health Center and the China Telepathology Consultation Center were added on to Tirunesh-Beijing Hospital. It is unclear how much the construction of these new buildings cost, though they were financed by the Chinese government.
