Full Description

Project narrative

On October 20, 2005, representatives from China Light Corporation and Mali UNICEF signed the implementation contract for the second phase of the technical cooperation project to provide embroidery training to women in Mali (援马里第二期刺绣培训技术合作项目实施合同), as part of the China-Mali Friendship Embroidery Training Center (中马友谊刺绣培训中心). The training period will last one year, and is expected to train 50 students. Training started on November 22, 2005 and ended on May 5, 2006. As with the first phase (Record ID#60168), China will provide funding for training, including equipment, tools, raw materials, office supplies, and some living materials. Mali is responsible for providing classrooms in the training center, and responsible for the production and management of the training center. In 2007, the implementation contract for a third phase was signed (Record ID#60167).
