Full Description

Project narrative

On June 11th 2019, China donated office equipment to Uganda Wildlife Authority. This included 8 computers, 4 of which were desktops and 4 of which were laptops. The handover ceremony was held in the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife, and Antiquities and attended by Deputy Chinese Ambassador Chen Huixin, Uganda's Minister of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, Prof. Ephraim Kamuntu, and the Director of the Uganda Wildlife Service, Sam Mwandha. The Chinese government hopes to use this donation as a starting point for future donations for wildlife preservation. The Director of the Uganda Wildlife Authority also mentioned an unspecified Chinese company's interest in investing in Murchison Falls National Park and to start marketing Uganda in China.
