Full Description

Project narrative

On September 6, 2018, the Chinese Government agreed to provide Uganda with RMB 70 million in the form of either a grant or an interest-free loan as a part of an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (经济技术合作协议). The money will be used for unspecified emergency humanitarian relief.

Staff comments

It is likely that it is a grant because the purpose is for humanitarian relief. However, as of January 2022, no new evidence on the project is found.
