Project narrative

On March 13, 2019, the Chinese Embassy in Uganda donated USD 58,500 to the Uganda Women’s Relief for Orphans (UWESO), an organization that helps orphaned children who lost their parents due to civil unrest or the HIV/AIDS epidemic) for the purchase of building materials for the Bugolobi House. The donation ceremony was held at the Ugandan Presidential Palace and attended by the President of Uganda, the Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Museveni, and Chinese ambassador, Zheng Zhujiang.
