On September 27, 2012, representatives from ZTE, the Chinese Embassy in South Sudan, and the South Sudanese government attended a ceremony at the headquarters of the South Sudan People’s Liberation Movement for ZTE's donation of school supplies to South Sudanese students. The supplies donated included pens, rulers, erasers, and notebooks. The total cost of these supplies is unknown.

The last paragraph in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs source is mistranslated by Google - it says that the materials were donated by the CCP, but the original Chinese says that ZTE donated them
