Project narrative

On August 25, 2018, the Chinese embassy held a reception ceremony for the 69 Ugandan students that received the Chinese government scholarship for the 2018-2019 school year. The scholarship is available for undergraduate, masters, and doctoral programs. The scholarships last 4-7 years for undergraduates, 2-5 years for masters students, and 3-6 years for doctorate students. China gives this scholarship to students in developing countries every year. The total cost of the scholarships and the Chinese government financing agency are not known.
