Description

On October 21, 2013, the Chinese Ambassador to South Sudan and the South Sudanese Minister of Health signed a memorandum of understanding for China to send its second medical team to South Sudan. The team arrived in South Sudan on February 26, 2014 and the South Sudanese Ministry of Health held a welcome ceremony for them on March 3, 2014. The team consisted of 12 members from Anhui province. In August 2014, the team donated a set of medical equipment worth CNY 400,000 to Juba Hospital (#31211). From November 28-30, the team held a clinic in Torit, South Sudan (captured in #60806). From January 26-31, 2015, the team held a clinic in Rumbek, South Sudan (captured in #53333). The second medical team departed from South Sudan on March 19, 2015, when the third medical team arrived (#59012).
