Description

On January 18, 2018, during a meeting with the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) special envoy for South Sudan, Chinese Ambassador He Xiangdong stated that China would provide a sum of USD 500,000 to IGAD to support peacekeeping efforts in South Sudan. Specifically, the funding is allocated for High Level Revitalization Forum and the office of the special envoy. When the funds were transferred to IGAD is unknown.
