Description

On April 3, 2018, the Chinese Ambassador to Tanzania and the Tanzanian Minister of Health signed a Sino-Tanzanian medical and health cooperation protocol to accept the 25th medical team from China to mainland Tanzania. The team consisted of 13 members and was based in Dar es Salaam, working out of the Muhimbili Orthopaedic Institute and the Muhimbili National Hospital for a two-year mission term. A welcome dinner was held for the team on June 28, 2018 in Tanzania. A summary meeting for the 25th batch was held on January 4, 2019. On June 28, 2018, Tanzanian officials hosted a dinner to welcome the new medical team to the country. On December 19, 2019, the team carried out the "Health Cooperation and Huitan Tour" activity and donated a batch of medicines and medical equipment to Kikwit Cardiology Hospital (Project ID#88321).
