Description

On August 9 2017, according to Xinhua News and the embassy website, the Chinese Embassy in Somalia donated medical equipment to Banadir Maternity & Children Hospital. The Chinese Ambassador to Somalia Qin Jian said China will continue to help Somalia's recovery process and support it in various sectors including the medical sector. China pledged to reconstruct the hospital in 2013 (project #31067), which so far has not started.
