Description
On February 5, 2007 during an official visit to Namibia, President Hu Jintao pledged an RMB 7 million grant for the construction of a third primary school in Tsumkwe within the Otjozondjupa Region. Zhengtai Group was the contractor responsible for implementation of the project. The Government of Namibia reportedly spent almost all of these funds by April 2007. The construction completion ceremony took place on November 26, 2009. This project is completed. The Chinese project title is 援纳米比亚第三所农村小学校项目. In September 2009, the construction for two other Chinese-funded primary schools was completed (recorded in the linked project #30338). At the same official visit to Namibia where President Hu Jintao pledged funding for the Tsumkwe Primary School Construction Project, he also pledged to provide several other financial flows (recorded in the umbrella project #62351).
