Project narrative

On 15 May 2017, the Chinese Government granted wildlife protection equipment worth 15 million NAD to Namibia. The donation includes: 30 pickup vehicles, 500 tents, 600 moisture proof pads, 600 sleeping bags, 100 binoculars, 100 solar power batteries, and 1000 mosquito nets. The donation will be used by anti-poaching law enforcement units supporting conservation efforts in Namibia. This donation is in response to then recent evidence of Chinese nationals poaching Namibia's rhinos and elephants to sell their ivory.
