On October 29, 2015, China donated high-technology equipment for the monitoring of air quality in different locations of Havana. This donation will contribute to environmental preservation and the health of the population. One of the planned stations is installed and is full-functioning in the headquarters of el Consejo de la Administración Municipal de San Miguel de Padrón, where representatives of China and Cuba signed the corresponding Certificate of Delivery. Fernando Mario González Bermúdez, first vice-minister of the Ministerio de Ciencia, Tecnología y Medio Ambiente (CITMA) and Wu Xiaquing, viceminister of China's Environmental Protection, signed the document. Wu Xiaquing, the vicetitular of China, said that this donation formed part of mutual scientific-technological collaboration projects. The exact worth of this donation is unknown.
