Description

On 18 April 2017, government officials signed an exchange of letters in which China pledged to donate 2,600 tons of rice to Namibia throughout 2017 in response to drought-induced food shortages. The donation worth about N$40 million in Namibian dollars was completed by June 2017. The first rice donation from China to Namibia, in 2016, is captured in project #52331.
