Description
In 2013, China Eximbank reportedly pledged to provide $100 million of vendor financing (perhaps through an export seller’s credit) to Powertel Communications — a wholly owned subsidiary of the Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority (ZESA) Holdings Group — to help it acquire equipment in order to support its telecommunications network expansion program. Powertel Communications is a public data network operator fully licensed by the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ) to provide data communications services.
