Project narrative

On December 9, 2016, letters of exchange for the donation of sports equipment for the 2017 Pacific Mini Games were originally signed (or 援瓦2017年太平洋小型运动会体育比赛器材). On September 13, 2017, a handover ceremony was held between the Chinese Ambassador, Liu Quan, and the Vanuatu Prime Minister, Charlot Salwai, and was also attended by the Minister of Wah Chong, Chairman of the Vaio Committee, CEO of the Pacific Small Games Organizing Committee and Chen Yuhua, head of the Economic and Trade Office of the Embassy. The ceremony was for the donation of eight 40-ft containers of sports training and competition equipment to be used for the upcoming Pacific Mini Games (PMG). This project is also linked to Record ID#62858 which was the training of 190 Vanuatu athletes for the PMG, Record ID#62857 which was the donation of 27 buses and 2 sports utility vehicles for the PMG, and Record ID#49224, a Vt3 million donation to build a sports complex for the PMG.
