On August 16, 2017, Charge d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Sierra Leone, Wang Xinmin, provided $1 million humanitarian aid fund to President of Sierra Leone, Ernest Bai Koroma, on behalf on the Chinese government, according to the Chinese Embassy in Sierra Leone.
