Project narrative

On February 12 and 23, 2009, in order to implement the outcome of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), the Chinese Ambassador to Sierra Leone, Qiu Shaofang, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Zainab Hawa Bangura, signed an exchange of letters for a team of Chinese youth volunteers to be dispatched to Sierra Leone. The purpose of this project is unclear. The volunteers arrived in on October 30, 2009.
