China's assistance has successfully improved the local production capacity of rice from 1.5 tons/hectare to 6-8 tons/hectare in Timor-Leste's Manatuto region. The project was implemented in three phases, and the contractor was Longping Hi-Tech Co., Ltd. The closing ceremony of the project occurred on June 19th, 2015.
