Description
According to a ‘Summary of Planned Transmission Lines’ published by the Asian Development Bank in 2017, China Eximbank agreed at least in principle to issue a loan in 2013 for the 230kV Thavieng-Pakxan 2 Power Transmission Line Project. The purpose of this project is to construct a 150 km power transmission line that runs from the Thavieng substation to the Pakxan 2 substation. It is reportedly being designed and implemented on an independent power project (IPP) basis. However, AidData has not yet identified any other sources that corroborate the provision of a CDB loan, so the project is status-coded as a pledge for the time being.
