Project narrative

In August 2012, the Chinese Government gave Cook Islands a NZ$ 1 million cash grant to assist with the hosting of the 43rd Pacific Islands Forum (PIF) leaders meeting. PIF is an inter-governmental organization that aims to enhance cooperation between countries and territories of the Pacific Ocean and has 18 members. The PIF meeting was hosted from August 28-30, 2012, in Rarotonga.
