Project narrative

On February 13, 2018, many of the islands of Fiji were struck by cyclone Gita (also referred to as, "热带飓风“基塔”). On February 15, the Embassy made a commitment to make a cash grant of FJD 10,000. On February 19, Ambassador Qian Bo transferred relief funds totaling $100,000 FJD to Fiji Prime Minister Mbani Marama. Later, the Embassy also donated equipment worth FJD 40,000 to Fiji (linked to Record ID#64035).
