Project narrative

On August 21, 2009, China donated two new fire trucks to the Fiji National Fire Authority. Mr. Fei Mingxing, Charge D'affaires of Chinese Embassy and Colonel Samuela Saumatua, Minister for Local Government, Urban Development, Housing and Environment attended the launch in Suva. The trucks were worth FJD 600,000 This donation comes after a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the National Fire Authority (NFA) and the Chinese Fire Service (CFS) in Beijing on April 30, 2009 (see Record ID#39302).
