Project narrative

On March 22nd, 2015, the first batch of emergency relief from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce arrived. It arrived by chartered plane at the International Bauerfield Airport of Port Vila and is part of a 30 million RMB grant from the Chinese Government (Record ID#49212) following the destruction caused by Tropical Cyclone Pam, which hit Vanuatu on March 13th and 14th. According to "The Friendship of China and Vanuatu, Not Weakened but Consolidated by Cyclone Pam," this plane carried 260 tents for people who lost their homes. This project is linked to Record ID#49212, which is the 30 million RMB grant.
