Full Description

Project narrative

The second batch of relief supplies donated by China arrived on March 27th, 2015 at the Bauerfield International Airport of Port Vila (or 第二架援瓦紧急救灾包机). The donation comes in response to the Tropical Cyclone Pam, which hit Vanuatu on March 13th and 14th, and is part of a larger promise from the Chinese government to provide 30 million RMB of emergency relief supplies. The planes carried a total of 540 sets of tents, 65 pieces of tarpaulin, and 6.5 tons of cookies ("The Second Chinese Chartered Plane with disaster-relief goods arrived in Port Vila"). This project is linked to Record ID#49212, which is the 30 million RMB grant.
