Description

In 2016, China’s Ministry of Defense provided a grant worth RMB 197 million to the Government of Laos for the Hospital 103 Reconstruction Project. The purpose of the project was to reconstruct a military hospital in the capital city of Vientiane with nearly 300 beds and 6 operating rooms that is capable of serving approximately 3,000 outpatients each day. Xijing Hospital of the PLA Military Medical University was responsible for project implementation. A groundbreaking ceremony was held on May 22, 2016 ("China’s government helps construct new Hospital 103"). The project handover and hospital opening ceremony was held on January 19, 2019.
